DECA
We prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
We compete to solve real-world business problems, we volunteer our time to serve our local community, and we engage with students on campus to create new relationships.

The Three C's
Campus
UWW DECA takes pride in its many on-campus events. Last year, we hosted a variety of activities, including our annual toy drive and high school mini-districts, where we partnered with BMEA to introduce high school students to DECA competition. We also organized engaging socials like scavenger hunts, bowling nights, and volleyball with popsicles! Looking ahead, we have exciting plans for more socials and fun activities throughout the year!
Community
DECA values community service and engages in a range of activities throughout the year. Members volunteered at Fairhaven Senior Services, playing bingo with residents. We’ve made tie blankets for the Whitewater Community Center and hosted Miracle Minutes at basketball games. We also partnered with the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for a charity fundraiser and collected 305 items for the Trick-or-Can food drive.
Competition
At the Wisconsin State DECA Competition, our members delivered impressive performances, with all 25 attending members qualifying for the national stage. During the 2025-26 academic year, 20 students from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater were recognized for their outstanding achievements at both the national and state levels. Additionally, at ICDC 2025 in Louisville, 6 Whitewater DECA members took home the coveted DECA Glass across 4 events!
