competitive events
There are a bunch of different events that are offered at DECA Competitions: Case Study, Prepared Events, and the Stock Market Game.
Learn more about each event below!
Individual Case Studies are designed to test your knowledge in real-world scenarios in a widge range of categories. In a case study, you will be given a random case at your competition time and then will have 30 minutes to prep before you to present in front of a judge.
If competing by yourself isn't your thing, don't worry there are case studies for partners too!

The Stock Market Game is an online simulation of the global capital market and engages students in the world of economics, investing, and personal finance with the goal of preparing them for financially independent futures. Teams of one to three DECA members are given a virtual $100,000 to invest in stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. Team members will work together to build and manage a high performing investment portfolio.
